And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Long overdue photos from the Adelaide road trip during spring break!

There's something about road trips that I just love. The feeling of freedom, and spending hours in a car with really awesome company. Or maybe it's the long, free, open roads. 2 cars and 8 fabulous friends. Quite hard to describe it in words :D

Hahndorf, a German town just half an hour's drive from Adelaide. The German food was ^%&#@* good! The town has tons of shops selling LOADS of candy. Yes did I mention already that the German lunch we had was just divine!

Glenelg beach.

Organic pizza dinner at Glenelg with Ern Chee! Yummy stuff!

Some random salt lake in the middle of nowhere. Can't really see here, but the water had so much salt that it was pink in colour.

Robe, along the Limestone Coast, where we spent a night. Felt quite cheated, since we were expecting much better, when there was actually nothing much.

Logan Beach at Warrnambool. We were supposed to be able to spot whales, but since it was freeeezing cold and we were hungry, we left in a hurry and didn't spot any of those giant mammals.

Disclaimer: photo above is not from my camera! haha.

So when the car was returned after 4 days, we had driven a total of 1,905 km. WOW. Ohhh yes and when the car was collected, it had done only 5 km. I think they rented the brand new car to the wrong people, because we returned it very dirty and well used.
Canberra next anyone? HAHA! Would love to drive to Sydney though! Sometime soon!

On another note, I really enjoyed creative discipleship on Tuesday and urban life last night! Never underestimate the importance of encouragement. Though we might not realise, that smile or those words of encouragement might mean so much to someone else. Just a simple encouragement has the ability to inspire that someone with hope, courage and confiden
ce!

The inside of my left ear has been hurting terribly since yesterday. Really do hope it's not something major and that I get well soon! And that wonky nose will recover too.

Swotvac is here; that time of the semester has arrived again. Exams! It has just started to get sunny although spring officially started a long long time ago. Doing readings/studing at the beach sounds like a cool idea don't you think? For now it's time to sleep early; gonna nerd over the weekend with Debs and Jo on our 2,000 word human rights take-home exam.

You can never say never

I have decided to not let this blog rot away, high time for an update! And there's lots of stuff to post about, since spring break just ended! Back to school for now :( 4 more weeks of class!

It was spring break, and I had the great PRIVILEGE of having Benedict over from Perth :p

So there was a day where we decided to explore South Melbourne, St. Kilda and its surroundings. We went to MART130 for breakfast with a couple of others.

The food tasted as good or even better as how it looks here!

It's located right smack at the tram stop, if you're like us and lazy to walk. Actually it IS the tram stop, how cool eh. The other side faces Middle Park, a nice place for a lazy brunch.

Since it was a nice sunny day after a few days of utterly crappy and rainy weather, we headed to St Kilda.

Followed by South Melbourne - to St Ali's! Supposedly one of the best coffees around. 2 awesome cafes in a day! Went there 2 t
imes during spring break but no coffee for me, haha.

Interesting how their espresso machine works. They don't have the 2 curvy spouts below the group head for the espresso to flow out, unlike a conventional machine.

Since we're on South Melbourne, shall upload a couple of photos from the night market too. It runs 10 weeks during spring on Thursday nights. They've got pretty interesting stuff for sale. The spanish paella was pretty wicked! And so were the dim-sums from the stall next door. Judging from the photo, the crepes were yummy too.

Pollipop by Grace!

And of course, this post would not be complete with a photo of mr VIP himself. Papa-papa-razzi!

Okay that was a very long post! More to come soon, on the Adelaide road trip and Mount Dandenongs!
