And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there
Long overdue photos from the Adelaide road trip during spring break!
There's something about road trips that I just love. The feeling of freedom, and spending hours in a car with really awesome company. Or maybe it's the long, free, open roads. 2 cars and 8 fabulous friends. Quite hard to describe it in words :D

Hahndorf, a German town just half an hour's drive from Adelaide. The German food was ^%&#@* good! The town has tons of shops selling LOADS of candy. Yes did I mention already that the German lunch we had was just divine!

Glenelg beach.

Organic pizza dinner at Glenelg with Ern Chee! Yummy stuff!

Some random salt lake in the middle of nowhere. Can't really see here, but the water had so much salt that it was pink in colour.

Robe, along the Limestone Coast, where we spent a night. Felt quite cheated, since we were expecting much better, when there was actually nothing much.

Logan Beach at Warrnambool. We were supposed to be able to spot whales, but since it was freeeezing cold and we were hungry, we left in a hurry and didn't spot any of those giant mammals.
So when the car was returned after 4 days, we had driven a total of 1,905 km. WOW. Ohhh yes and when the car was collected, it had done only 5 km. I think they rented the brand new car to the wrong people, because we returned it very dirty and well used.
Canberra next anyone? HAHA! Would love to drive to Sydney though! Sometime soon!

On another note, I really enjoyed creative discipleship on Tuesday and urban life last night! Never underestimate the importance of encouragement. Though we might not realise, that smile or those words of encouragement might mean so much to someone else. Just a simple encouragement has the ability to inspire that someone with hope, courage and confidence!
The inside of my left ear has been hurting terribly since yesterday. Really do hope it's not something major and that I get well soon! And that wonky nose will recover too.
Swotvac is here; that time of the semester has arrived again. Exams! It has just started to get sunny although spring officially started a long long time ago. Doing readings/studing at the beach sounds like a cool idea don't you think? For now it's time to sleep early; gonna nerd over the weekend with Debs and Jo on our 2,000 word human rights take-home exam.

You can never say never
I have decided to not let this blog rot away, high time for an update! And there's lots of stuff to post about, since spring break just ended! Back to school for now :( 4 more weeks of class!
It was spring break, and I had the great PRIVILEGE of having Benedict over from Perth :p
So there was a day where we decided to explore South Melbourne, St. Kilda and its surroundings. We went to MART130 for breakfast with a couple of others.

The food tasted as good or even better as how it looks here!
It's located right smack at the tram stop, if you're like us and lazy to walk. Actually it IS the tram stop, how cool eh. The other side faces Middle Park, a nice place for a lazy brunch.
Since it was a nice sunny day after a few days of utterly crappy and rainy weather, we headed to St Kilda.

Followed by South Melbourne - to St Ali's! Supposedly one of the best coffees around. 2 awesome cafes in a day! Went there 2 times during spring break but no coffee for me, haha.

Interesting how their espresso machine works. They don't have the 2 curvy spouts below the group head for the espresso to flow out, unlike a conventional machine.

Since we're on South Melbourne, shall upload a couple of photos from the night market too. It runs 10 weeks during spring on Thursday nights. They've got pretty interesting stuff for sale. The spanish paella was pretty wicked! And so were the dim-sums from the stall next door. Judging from the photo, the crepes were yummy too.
Pollipop by Grace!

And of course, this post would not be complete with a photo of mr VIP himself. Papa-papa-razzi!

Okay that was a very long post! More to come soon, on the Adelaide road trip and Mount Dandenongs!

It's a slow fade
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white turn to grey
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day

I love Casting Crown's songs, they always have such impactful lyrics.
Heh haven't updated in a long time again. Losing my inspiration to blog, perhaps? And plus, blogger was being annoying; I had difficulty adding my photos!
A few photos I took over the past 1+ week that I've been back.
The BEST chirashi-don I've ever had :) Yumm. Can you see the huge ikura, scallops, and salmon belly!

This is probably where I'm going to end up working. Heh. If I pass econometrics, organisational behaviour, cost management and business finance, that is. Results will be released in 3 days!

Do you see any resemblence?

Alright that's it for my short update :)
Can't wait to be back in Melbourne!

Did you lose yourself somewhere out there
And so today concludes the final day of Sem 1 2009. How time flies...
Happy Birthday Tim! Like the card says, growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional :)
Stuff didn't exactly go according to plan, but I'm sure you still love us!
Diane and I had an enjoyable breakfast at Sugardough, a small quaint cafe in Brunswick. The coffee was darn good! Comes close enough to St Ali's. The breakfast stuff were really yum too. Everything baked fresh there. We walked away with me regretting not getting a second coffee, and Diane wishing she had bought the chocolate crossaint. Tim's orange flourless birthday cake was a letdown though.

Thank you so so so so so much! :)

Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same
I'm back, after 3 long months of absence!
It occurred to me while clearing up my stuff the other day how much chocolate I have at home. Quite appalling I must say. 7 different kinds! Appalling ain't it? In search of making the perfect hot chocolate :) Haven't tried grating the chocolate bars yet, will get to that soon. So far, Grinders tastes the best (2nd from the left). Yumm.

Daddy came 2 weeks ago, and we took a drive along the Great Ocean Road once again. It was good :) Except for the rather crappy lunch at Apollo Bay.

Saw this on Chase Jarvis, but the original link is here.
Sigh.. exams in one and a half week's time.

A Million Little Pictures: Documentary
During the summer of 2009, one thousand artists from around the world will document their lives in 24 frames using a simple disposable camera with a flash.
On September 25th, 2009, an exhibition housing over 24,000 photographs will be constructed to take you on an adventure through the lives of these thousand artists.
To be a part of it, just gotta mail them US$18 and you'll be sent a disposable camera to document your summer. The photos will be exhibited together with those of 999 others all over the world. What an uber-cool idea!Sigh.. exams in one and a half week's time.

Was a spur of the moment affair
Shifting to a new apartment is tiring. The place is still in a bad mess.
Shopping at Ikea is fun! My carpentry skills have just levelled up! Lol. I have completed Goliat, Billy, Erik and Antonius. Can be quite interesting to assemble, heh. Sorta like lego for grown ups.
Anyway, I'm loving my new camera! :) We were at the skate park the other day and managed to snap some wicked stunt shots. Hehe and thank you Alvin for the bunch of lenses :p

Don't be another one just like the other one
Today was a day of many firsts...
- did a full hair colour
- got my brains baked in the process
- bought a NIKON (don't condemn me please (: )
I think I've spent too much money in the past couple of days. Lol. And they're still things on my list which I haven't gotten yet. It's finally almost time to head back down under; been looking forward to going back for weeks already. Now that the time is finally drawing near, I suddenly wanna stay longer in Singapore. I'm not ready to go back yet! Oh well I shall enjoy my final weekend here :) Turns out that I have to come back in July after all cos of my stupid braces -.-

'Cause if one day you wake up
Today was the last day of work! Yeahh! Glad that it's finally over and that I'll be heading back soon! Heh 10 days left!
Since today was the last day I brought my camera and snapped pictures of the horribly messy room. Hehe I won't put up those.
Our department partner bought everyone ice-cream today as a V Day treat, how nice of her! She got the uncle that sells ice-cream on the motorbike to come to over and park at our building, and we all went downstairs at 3pm for ice-cream :)

My addictive Eclipse collection! Lol I think that is just a small fraction of what I consumed. And by the way the dark blue one tastes disgusting, it's got a medicated oil taste to it. But I love the other 2 flavours!
Ohh and I learned a couple of accounting terms in chinese. Balance sheet is 资产负债表! My cmi chinese is slowly improving ok :)
The other day we had lunch at this Japanese ramen place called 别府 (whatever that means). So you can choose how spicy you want your ramen - from a scale of 1 to 8 chillies. I chose 4, thinking that it'd be quite safe, somewhere in the middle. $@%#&@!^#!!! It was the spiciest darn thing I've ever eaten! How the heck do people eat the level 8 one?? I did manage to finish up my food though, heh I was sweating like crazy. Almost wanted to cry.
Okay time to go to bed, I'm so sleepy and my post is incoherent. The weekend's here and it's Valentine's Day! Love is in the air.... Have a great weekend peeps!

Corner of First and Amistad
I'm back on blogger! It allows more customisation so I prefer it. For now :) Fickle-minded me might just decide to post another post on wordpress.
Well it's been a while since I posted (what's new), and it's finally my last week of work! I'm now having mixed feelings now that I've almost reached the end. Sigh. The work might be nasty, but I guess it's the people around that make it better. I've gotta meet the manager for an appraisal sometime this week, and I'm gonna get asked the usual: "So how do you find the work?", or "Do you enjoy it here", or "Would you like to come back to our firm to work?". Lol. Lying is bad. Must find the politically correct words to say eh. Anyway the chances that I'll get offered a place when I graduate aren't very big, since I've got 2 more years to go. Oh well.
The laptop at work seems human after all, it gets sleepy after lunch too.
My hair was terribly horrible looking (why does it always grow long so fast??) so I went for a haircut on Wednesday. Heh it was quite a freaky experience! The stylist who normally cuts my hair was on holiday, so some other DUDE did it for me this time. AND that person was extremely flirty with me! I acted normal, not wanting to make things awkward. But yes, it was freaky. Now there's this song that I still CANNOT get out of my head cos it was playing on the TV and that person was singing it to me. It's by Kylie Minogue and it goes like "how does it feel in my arms......" Doesn't help that the tune is quite catchy. *fainted* Notice I avoid using the word "he". Lol. Hopefully that person stumble upon this blog :S
I had 2 meals on Saturday. Both of them buffets -.- Not good. BUT both were treats :) Thanks to my cousin Chris for lunch and lao-ban Eugene for dinner! Mr parsley-sniffer, please upload the group photo :)
What interesting friends I have right :)
Okay, time to go to bed. Goodnight peeps! Have an awesome week!

Bad news never had good timing
Confused. Rather apt word to describe myself right now.The weekend's over and it's time for another work week :( With work gonna be like this after I graduate, I wish I could be a uni student forever! Assignments, essays and studying for exams don't seem like such a bad thing after all actually. I know that sounds sick but there's actually some truth to it. Uni days might actually be the best and most memorable years of my life. First year has gone by so quickly, and I'm certain the remaining 2 will be even faster :S
I'm starting on a new engagement tomorrow. Started off with a property company, then a Swiss private bank. This time it's a retail company, Royal Copenhagen. The next 2 weeks are gonna be very hectic cos there's lots of work to be done and the team's tiny! And... The client only opens at 10am, so we can only start at 10am. Sounds good right, work starting at 10am. But I still gotta fulfil my 8 hours a day.
5 more weeks to go!
Time for me to get my precious sleep.

How did we get here
Hello! My first post of 2009. A little late, yes.
My blog almost died! But no, it's back, after almost a month of absence. Getting lazy to update, especially since I've been quite busy. I keep procrastinating whenever I wanna update too. Don't think I'll continue from where I left off, lol and since I'm getting lazy, I reckon it's lame to post everything I do here.
Anyway.. Being random. The 3 of us DON'T look alike! We're not photocopies like everyone says. Well maybe a slight resemblance, and i mean SLIGHT!

It's the first Saturday afternoon I've gotten to myself in a really long long time. So I'm just gonna stay home on this lazy Saturday afternoon, watch shows and perhaps read a book :)
Maybe a more proper post soon, haha. I've created a Wordpress account but it's so annoying cos I'm trying to customise the look but it's darn difficult!

Have a nice weekend! :)
