Waking up is the hardest part
Oh and those 'Happy Ramadan' things are all over school. What's wrong with those people man.
Won't be long before the next research essay is out, heh. Don't talk to me about anything to do with international relations, and realism in particular, or my brain might just short circuit and I'll collapse right there. Hahaha. And I think I'm still in the essay mood. I'm checking the thesaurus for alternative words to use as I type this entry. =.=
Anway the weekend wasn't too bad. They launched the third service at church this weekend, and recorded their second live album. An acoustic unplugged one with all the nice old songs :) Can't wait for it to be released! I'm BUYING it, cos I know all of you think I'm gonna just download it, which is so not true!
Ahhh winter is officially over! It's springtime, and the weather's gonna be nice and sunny :) Who likes the miserable, cold and rainy winter days man.

The beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair

I had the intention of completing majority of my global pol essay today, but that didn't happen. There's seems to be this horrible curse on me that makes me unable to wake up early (read: before 12). Argh so frustrating. Tomorrow shall be different, I'm starting at 9.30am. Grr i break whatever sleeping in or laziness curse there is over me!

When it all amounts to nothing in the end
Man, what’s it with naked people! Lol. During global politics lecture this morning, this weirdly dressed jedi came in and created quite a scene. Then someone from among the audience stood up and removed ALL his clothes and just stood there. And like 5 or 6 people came running in and starting fighting with lightsabers. Managed to snap a photo, but I was a little slow. Can make out some commotion going on in the front, with a guy dressed in a box and some other weird stuff too. The lecturer wasn’t annoyed but sorta played along too. Haha. I was still quite stunned for a while after. So much for UN and human rights eh.
Yes here are the photos you requested sister. Better be thankful k, I spent so long uploading them!
Had dinner with the cousins last Friday cos daddy came over. Yes at the usual place cos it’s his all-time favourite, haha :) We went to Brunetti’s to hang out for a while after that.

Never perfect, but perfectly forgiven
It's my first foray into an arts subject, and I kinda like it I must say. Provokes some thought, and not as mechanical as the other subjects. Don't know how my essays and grades will turn out though, lol. Everyone in class is like dying to express their opinion, while I'm sitting there listening to the discussion. I'm quite neutral when it comes to stuff like this, don't have strong opinions. And I'm new to all this referencingandwhatevernot. So currently I'm doing readingsreadingsandmorereadings for my first global politics assignment, which is due on Monday. It came out a couple of weeks back, don't ask me why I'm only starting on it now, haha.
You spoke the truth in love so faithfully

So I’ve disappeared for quite a while eh. Haha sorry, was lazy to update. Quite a lot of stuff happened in the last 2 weeks or so. Can’t remember everything, lol. Yeah it’s exactly 2 weeks cos I missed DNA to go for the concert =pI’ve got this new software called MacJournal. I’m finally starting my own personal journal, heh. If I use a book I’ll probably chuck it somewhere and forget about it after some time. And plus, it’s more vulnerable cos people can see it. Mine’s got a password, so only I’m the only one with access of course. Still trying to get the hang of it, I don't know how to add photos.
On the topic of photos.. Hehe I've got a new investment! Bought Roy's Canon 400D from him cos he was upgrading. So I now have my first DSLR camera! A new hobby for me. Argh, they are poisoning me with all their accessories like lenses and flashes. No money =( Lol. High quality photos for my blog! Need to learn to use photoshop first though.

I'll make it all mine
Anyway the Jason Mraz concert was stinkin' awesome! He's really talented and funny. He has the ability to just sing random rubbish which apparently makes sense, and very fast too. Lol I found it quite amusing. His showmanship was great, and he was so witty! There was a 3 piece brass band accompanying too! Oh yeah the opening act was quite nice too, never heard of her before though, Melanie Horsnell. AND they did "Lucky" together too! If you're interested in listening to the whole concert, a recording was uploaded the day after the concert :p hehe. Here's the link. Beware though, the file sizes are huge. But the quality is excellent! iTunes won't play it too, you'll need something like VLC. Ah enough of me, let the photos do the talking =)

I'd rather be singing a song under the avocado tree
The weekend was great, need to get down to doing my work! Ahh! Basically didn't do any work at all! But it was great fun, with an awesome breakfast on Saturday, marketing at Footscray, and yummy dinner with LOTS of lard, lol. Woke up quite late on Sunday, and kinda had a surprise visit, hehe. The sermon was a little different from usual, it was called "Thank God You're Here". I don't watch the game show on TV, but the one they did at church was so funny! Haha. Dinner was with my cousins and it was very yummy too! I think my weekend was mostly centred around food, lol. Yay Jason Mraz concert tomorrow, so excited! According to Wikipedia:
Some pictures taken using my phone:
I had poached eggs with smoked salmon, sauteed spinach, hollandaise sauce, lemon and dill. Fantastic! Look at the egg yolk below!Friday, August 8, 2008
If you must falter be wise
Today was nice in the sense that I finally got a day to myself. Other than meeting Scott for lunch of course. It's been awhile since I've had the day to myself.Tomorrow's National Day! Not that I'm a patriotic person but oh well we're celebrating it tomorrow at Roy's place. Lol we're actually gonna watch the live telecast online. Gossip Girl over NDP anytime for me =p
It feels like it's BMT/SSC all over again, lol. Cos right, I'm "booking-in" at Roy's place later tonight for a sleepover (when's the last time I had one anyway?!). And we're getting up to go to the gym at 6am, followed by swimming. YES 6 flippin' AM!! And with 5 or 6 of us, and each person taking 10 mins to wash up, we'll have to start getting up at 5AM! And you know what else is gonna be 6 too? The temperature! Seems like I only exercise during weather extremes, cos the ONLY other time I've exercised this year was during the heat wave week, when I went jogging with Jun Wei. Well Sergeant Major Timothy Chew didn't give me a choice! Lol.
Well looking on the bright side... We're gonna spend the night watching Tintin and playing Wii, and breakfast tomorrow is at Mart130, followed by Bak Chor Mee dinner! I'm looking forward to the yummy food. =) As always!
You don't fold, you don't fade
UL last night was officially the first one I went for. And I must say it was quite awesome. I took back a lot, and there's still stuff that I need to seek God's direction for. Preparing food was quite fun too, hehe.
Oh and I bought a nice O.C. poster at the poster sale yesterday too. Heh I miss that show! It's been more than a year since it ended =(
Today was quite a good day. A normal Thursday with 4 lectures. JUST that, I slept through like half of BPA. It's so incredibly boring! =S Apparently according to some people I was actually SNORING, and they didn't even wake me up! Aiyoh what kind of friends!
Well anyway dinner was quite nice too, and Fel brought along Freddo's gelato! It's open again people! But still it's closed 3 days a week until the end of August, heh. And ya, I must complain that I always end up doing the washing up after dinner somehow! =S Lol. Last night too! So anway after dinner we went to Il Dolce Freddo to get more gelato!! Haha! Yeah and we took a walk to IMAX and climbed onto the wall where the 5 of us lay down and were suppposed to emo there. Lol. Clearly didn't work out cos we ended up talking nonsense! And I was freezing my socks off too! Haha after that we went over to the playground to re-live our childhood. It was quite a lot of fun we had there!

An insane resolution to live by
So sorry I know I haven't updated in 2 weeks! Been very busy since I got back here. It's good though, I kinda like the challenge of being busy and occupied with stuff, rather than slacking away at home.
Anyway this post was just to let you know that mx is still alive, he didn't vanish or get kidnapped =) I'll post pictures tmr!
Take care and have an awesome day ahead! To so many of you who are sick, rest more and get well soon!
